The RER is an organisation for so-called “independent real estate agencies” and has members from across the country.

Powe Property in Cairns was chosen as one of the four finalist in the Boutique Agency and Rising Star Agency of the Year.

Clint Smith, one of Powe’s sales agents, was named as a finalist following on from an earlier sales award through the network.

Powe Property principal Matt Powe said the result was a pleasant surprise.

“This is a great achievement for our agency and particularly to have an award winning agent within our team,” he said.

“Hopefully, there are many more to come.”

The awards were aimed at recognising RER members for outstanding achievements in real estate in 2009.

“All finalists are to be congratulated as awards were contested by some of the nation’s top performers,” RER Chief Executive Michael Sheargold said.

“Nominations were extremely impressive with most phenomenal results achieved network-wide.”
